New business center being built “green”

The new business center is proceeding according to schedule; in fact, it is slightly ahead. The construction is one day ahead of the tentative timeline needed to open it on time. The walls for the first floor are nearly complete, and a crew is working on some interior work for the first floor while the other floors are being constructed.

Senior Athlete Spotlight

Senior Alison Luthman was born in Frankfurt, Germany, is majoring in Accounting and is receiving her minor in Mathematics. Luthman has been a competitive runner for the Lions that past three seasons at Saint Leo University. She also played one year of Tennis for the Lions during her freshman year in 2007.

He describes himself as a “Jack of all trades,” working at the University of Texas for 30 years before retiring. Others describe him as a “prolific writer and wonderful person.” Indeed, one may argue that Dave Oliphant has an impressive repertoire. Mr. Oliphant has been a poet, translator, publisher and teacher.

On Tuesday, November 2, Florida voters went to the polls and defeated the much-debated Florida Comprehensive Land Use Plan known as Amendment 4. The ballot measure, which required a 60 percent majority to pass, has been the subject of much controversy for the past few years.
