Reasons to serve

Wooden tile floors had been laid, and the black, gooey adhesive was coming up through the cracks of each tile, making the otherwise pristine brown flooring dingy and black. The walls of all four hallways were in need of dusting, and a large, wonderful plaster tree needed a thick coat of brown paint.

International Food Night

The International Students’ Association brought sugar, spice and everything nice to Saint Leo University on November 17, 2010 with their annual International Food Night. International Food Night provides integration of the school body and enables students to learn more about each others’ cultures through food.

A new opportunity for Saint Leo students

With the spring semester coming up right after the holidays, the University has been preparing to offer students fresh academic opportunities. One of these opportunities involves the study of computer engineering. Whether students are science majors or sociology majors, they will have the chance to take some courses within the University’s upcoming Engineering minor.

For those who served

A new addition has been made to the Saint Leo community, officially as of November 11. Called “For Those Who Served” and created by the sculptor Dexter Benedict, the statue sits in the middle of Dempsey Plaza as a tribute to those affiliated with both the military and Saint Leo University.

Rhinoceros charges Saint Leo

It is almost impossible to convey the strong sense of absurdity that runs throughout Eugene Ionesco’s play Rhinoceros. The central conceit of the piece revolves around the transformation of the citizens of a town in France to rhinoceroses as soon as they accept the presence of the beasts.
