Kira Parisi, Sophomore Computer Science major, sat with the Lion’s Pride Newspaper and talked about his Candidacy for Presidency of the Student Government Election.
What experience do you have which makes you qualified for the position you’re running for and a better choice than your opponent(s)?
Both of my opponents are amazing girls who have great leadership potential. I, myself, have been on the CAB e-board for a year. This gives me the great background knowledge to be successful in this position.
Why do you want this position and what/who inspired or motivated you to run?
Edson O’Neale and Joe Thompson both motivated me to run when we were at a conference in September. Because it came from them, it really drove me to want this position. Plus, I love what I do now and would love to grow into this position.
What do you hope to accomplish and how do you plan to accomplish these goals in your position?
To continue to make great events and to really be the voice for students and the events they want. I want to continue to expand our events, and do events we’ve never done before.
What would your first action in office be, if you are elected?
If I am elected, my first action is to put together a stellar CAB e-board to lead this school with the best campus events.
