The 20th Thanksgiving dinner was located at the Saint Anthony of Padua Parish Center on Nov 26 and was held by the Benedictine Sisters of Florida. The event put on by S. Mary David Hydro is meant to draw in a diverse group of all ages and ethnicities.

The night before the event, 15 volunteers peeled and diced a record breaker of 120 pounds of potatoes in 45 minutes. Meals were delivered to 45 women and children at the Sunrise Spouse Abuse Center. 40 meals were delivered to the homebound, and 28 meals were delivered to the Dade City housing development.

Saint Leo’s Social Work Club donated $500 to help with food. There were other donations as well from Geri Hall, Saint Anthony students, Saint Anthony Women’s Club, Golden Corral, and the Saint Anthony Catholic Church donated Parish Hall as they do each year.
