Library for Finals

As we all know, the library is always packed during finals time. Everyone is stressed, uptight and tense. Every little thing someone does can get to be trying.

When in the library, the librarians ask to please be considerate of everyone around you. There are quiet places to get work and studying done and there are places to talk or meet with a group. Keep the chatter low so everyone can study in a quiet environment. Talking to the librarians, they said that nothing else really changes during finals time. The same rules apply as if it was any another time during the semester. The times do not change; they are still open until 2 in the morning Sunday through Thursday. Also, the same awesome library coffee and the same rules about no food or drinks, only water, can enter the library. They made it perfectly clear that the bags from midnight breakfast will not come in the library. Last year they had to pick up candy and food wrappers. They do not want to have that problem again this year. So to avoid this, don’t bring them in or keep them hidden away in your book bags.

The staff that work in the library know that everyone is going through a lot of different types of emotions. They are more than happy to help you with anything you may need. Another concern that they have is, books seem to go missing and things disappear more during final time. They just ask if you use a book or anything to help you, please put it back. At least put it on the rack to be reshelf or just simply check it out.

A lot more students come into the library during this time so just stay calm and get you’re studying done. Be patient with the staff if you are waiting for them to help you. With finals only a short time away, try not to stress too much, you will get through it. Use the library to help you do well on all your finals. Good Luck!
