The 2015 baseball season is approaching, and teams are now in Florida and Arizona, getting ready during Spring Training. Down in Port Charlotte, Fla, the Tampa Bay Rays are looking forward to a bounce back season following a disappointing 77-85 2014 season.
It was senior night for the Lady Lions of the Women’s Basketball Team. The team honored their two seniors, Elise Clyburn and Christina “Hollywood” Granville. Both ladies have contributed massively to the program. Their efforts have been appreciated and will continue beyond long after the final game that they play.
The Men of the basketball team had a hard run against Eckerd as their offense and their free throw making skills were the deciding factor that led to a heartbreaking and shocking 69-68 loss in the Bowman Center during the season finale.
According to nbcnews.com, on Feb. 22, a power failure occurred that disturbed the City of Tampa David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility. The power problem resulted in low water pressure or a loss of water service for all customers. Officials reacted to this by issuing a temporary water advisory notice.
On Feb. 27, the University held a Career Fair on Campus. The event was hosted by Career Planning along with Career Central. This Career Fair brought numerous opportunities to students for employment and internships. However, one must take advantage of the opportunity to network and to gather information if they want valuable employment. Spring Break is approaching fast, causing a dilemma for the huge portion of students that live in other states and countries, many of which are unable to fly home.
The situation began earlier this month when two fraternities, Sigma Chi and Alpha Epsilon Pi, were charged with hazing and alcohol violations. Sigma Chi was the first to be charged because of a photo of hazing that surfaced during a fraternal event.

Hackers have attacked thousands of American corporations, which include Apple, Twitter, Facebook, Coca-Cola, the New York Times and The Washington Post. This has occurred over the past five years. Recently, however, many companies did not disclose this information in fear that their investors may flee or that the company itself may have a lawsuit filed against it. In the last month, though, many companies have come forward and stated that they have been hacked.
