Saint Leo: Spring Break Off Campus

Spring Break 2022 is right over the horizon and the city of Tampa is getting ready to offer the students at Saint Leo University a variety of events to help make this week off worth remembering.

This year 2022, Saint Leo’s Spring Break will be between Monday, Mar. 14, and Friday, Mar. 18. There are multiple events that will take place at the Tampa Convention Center, located at 333 S Franklin St.

For students with children, younger siblings, nieces, or nephews, they can attend the Dino Stroll Show which will be held on Saturday, Mar. 12 to Sunday, Mar. 13 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center’s West Exhibit Hall.

The Dino Stroll Show is the only tour in the United States where visitors can experience replicas of life size dinosaurs and dragons. Some of the attractions include a 36 feet long and a 20 feet tall giant Brachiosaurus. It also includes a colossal Mamenchisaurus that is 60 feet long and is more than two stories.

For students interested in fields such as the performing arts, there is an event called the FL State Thespians-Annual Festival that may satisfy their interest. This festival is a private event reserved for people who have been registered beforehand on https://floridathespians.com/virtual-registration/ and either been given credentials from festival administration or are with a troupe.

The Thespians-Annual Festival invites a large variety of artists to perform duets, solo musicals, and monologues. There are also competitions in the technical field that include playwriting, as well as costume design, and publicity.

This festival is also separated into multiple events that happen at different points in the year. The festival that will be happening in March is the Senior which will be located in Tampa, Florida on Mar. 16 to 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center’s Ballroom and Meeting Rooms.

For students that are thinking about improving their homes or planning for their future home, they might want to attend the Tampa Home & Garden Show between Saturday, Mar. 19 to Sunday, Mar. 20 at Tampa Convention Center’s East Exhibit Hall.

This event was created by the East Coast Consumer Shows. A variety of vendors associated with home improvement will be there, such as contractors, landscapers, and builders.

Participants of the Tampa Home & Garden Show will have the opportunity to view pools, kitchens, gardening displaying, windows, baths, as well as meet celebrities such as Chief Warren Caterson who will be displaying various meals for different budgets and plates.

With Spring Break 2022 approaching fast, it’s time for the students at Saint Leo to plan out how will they enjoy their days off. Tampa is a big place with plenty of opportunities to have a great time with friends and family.
