Track by Track: A Review of Bruno Mars’ and Anderson .Paak’s “An Evening with Silk Sonic

Bruno Mars took a long hiatus after the release of his wildly successful studio album, “24k Magic,” in 2016. However, this year, he made a comeback with neo-soul, funk, and hip-hop artist Anderson .Paak to deliver the sounds of the 70’s packaged in a nine-track project. Released on Nov. 12, the album charted number one on Billboard’s R&B charts, and 2nd behind Taylor Swift’s “Red” on the all-genre chart.

Pollyanna: the story of a student-run production

The 2021 student-run production of “Pollyanna” is scheduled to go on stage in early December with 2 shows on Saturday, Dec. 4 starting at 2:00P.M. and 7:00P.M., and one show on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 5:00P.M.-7:00P.M. The performance will be held in the Black Box Theatre in Benedictine Hall, on Saint Leo’s University Campus.

Diwali Celebration

Diwali is mostly celebrated in India and Nepal and it is the festival of lights. It is a five-day celebration of the victory of light over darkness. During Diwali, people perform worship ceremonies to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Because the festival falls on the same day as the Hindu New Year, it is connected with an opportunity to start again.
