Saint Leo University offers numerous perfect study spots for students; some are well-known, and others are unknown but equally worth exploring. The beautiful campus provides an ideal setting for outdoor homework. Whether you prefer studying amidst people and music or seeking a quiet place to read or prepare for a math test, the campus offers a diverse range of options for students.
Alejandra Rincon, professor of marketing at Saint Leo, discovered her favorite study spot during her time as a student at the university.
“I always liked quiet when I was studying, so the library was perfect, and it has a pretty view of Lake Jovita,” she shared.
When overlooking the beautiful lake, the library’s third floor provides peace and quietness with air conditioning while studying.
If you’re seeking sunshine while studying, there are some lesser-known outdoor spots. Behind the Selby Auditorium, there’s a lovely bench under trees beside de Chantal Hall. Surrounded by beautiful plants and positioned on lush green grass, it offers a serene and restful environment, perfect for focusing.
At the Wellness Center, the pool is open for students to study. It’s fun, and it gets you out into the sun.
Additionally, near Benedictine Hall, tables are available for students. A built-in platform with tables and chairs is covered to maintain a pleasant coolness. It’s an excellent spot to get fresh air while working on homework. It’s usually quiet, and you might even encounter some kittens.
“My favorite place to study is in The Bowl behind the lakeside patio,” said Alicia Luecke, a senior majoring in marketing. “I love the view, and it’s so peaceful; it’s the perfect place for reading and studying. I also love looking out at the lake, especially when the sun sets.”
The Bowl is the land right outside the dining hall. It has chairs in the grass, and the scenery leaves visitors speechless. By the Bowl, students can find another enjoyable outdoor spot.
The dock offers a perfect view of the lake. It’s quiet and relaxing, and you might even see some fish. You can bring friends and a blanket for a cozy study night.
Students looking for indoor locations can find many buildings open for studying. In Kirk Hall, for those who would like academic support, there is tutoring in “The Cave” on the first floor.
Nearby, you can find Benedicts, a trendy place to study. They have tables inside and outside, offering multiple seats and delicious food and drinks.
Saint Leo’s campus is beautiful—make the most of it! Switch up your study spots and try something new; it might become your new favorite.
