Dade City opened their yearly fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 28. It is held at the Dade City Farms surrounded by Lake Lola and is open until Saturday, Nov. 2, only on Saturday and Sundays. Spend the weekends in October at the Dade City Fall Festival to experience a day filled with fall festivities.

The fall festival has activities for all ages. The festival is very kid friendly and has festivities such as slides & playgrounds for all kids to play on. They have tube slides and regular slides all throughout the field.

They also have bubbles, face paint, a pool of corn to play in, a bounce house and a petting zoo including goats, llamas, and even an adorable wallaby that anyone can take a picture with. You can find him in the pumpkin patch!

For adults, the festival is filled with fun as well. They have Halloween themed vendors selling their homemade products, fall themed stuffed animals including bats and pumpkins, Halloween cups including Ghost Busters and Beetle Juice, as well as keychains, pens, kids’ clothes, and books.

Selena Huesca, a vendor at the Dade City Fall Festival who owns Strawberry Press Designs, says “The family that runs this farm is wonderful and makes it very easy to participate in the festival. My favorite part of the Dade City Fall Festival is meeting new people, and the people that participate in the market are so sweet and kind.”

The fall festival also included an inside market which had apples, pumpkins, drinks to cool off with, and more kids’ toys.

They also had food vendors with a plethora of different drinks and food for all to enjoy, which included refreshing lemonade with a variety of flavors, boba, açai bowls, seafood, Greek options, iced coffees, and sodas.

Other than the vendors, the fall festival had things to do everywhere, there was a corn maze that was so fun but so hard to get out of, a pumpkin patch with different sizes and colors of pumpkins, a hayride that went around the whole festival, a beautiful sunflower field, and cool photo spots everywhere.

The Dade City Fall Festival is a fun and inexpensive way to spend your weekend. The prices for adults are only $12, so it’s great for college students. For kids over 2 years old, entry is $9 and children 2 and under are free. Come pick out a pumpkin, get lost in the corn maze, and have some refreshing strawberry lemonade all at The Dade City Fall Festival!
