Senior Alison Luthman was born in Frankfurt, Germany, is majoring in Accounting and is receiving her minor in Mathematics. Luthman has been a competitive runner for the Lions that past three seasons at Saint Leo University. She also played one year of Tennis for the Lions during her freshman year in 2007.

After all the hype from forming teams, joining a team from the previous year, and getting rosters turned in for approval before the deadline, intramural flag football season is in full swing. Not only has the new year brought new goals for the league and hopes for an improved program, it has also brought some new faces.
He describes himself as a “Jack of all trades,” working at the University of Texas for 30 years before retiring. Others describe him as a “prolific writer and wonderful person.” Indeed, one may argue that Dave Oliphant has an impressive repertoire. Mr. Oliphant has been a poet, translator, publisher and teacher.

Saint Leo University will commemorate Veterans Day, Nov. 11 with an observance to be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Student Community Center according to the University Communications.
On Tuesday, November 2, Florida voters went to the polls and defeated the much-debated Florida Comprehensive Land Use Plan known as Amendment 4. The ballot measure, which required a 60 percent majority to pass, has been the subject of much controversy for the past few years.

This incident among others evokes the questions of how safe the Saint Leo University campus is and what the Department of Campus Security and Safety is doing to ensure the safety of its students, staff and faculty. It is of the utmost importance that students are aware of the security measures implemented on their school campus by Campus Safety.
Chelsea DeVries is a 19 year old Saint Leo University student and has already written ten novels, two of which have been published. She is majoring in accounting and is getting her minor inwriting. This reporter interviewed DeVries to get a closer look at her book writing experiences.
