In this weekend’s conference championship games, the dominant second half performance from the Baltimore Ravens placed them into the Super Bowl to face the San Francisco 49ers. This match-up was unexpected as the Baltimore trumped the New England Patriots in the second game on Sunday and San Francisco made a fourth quarter comeback to beat the Atlanta Falcons.
The men’s basketball team is on a roll this year. The Lions are led by the three Wisconsin natives Marcus Ruh, Jerrel Harris, and Trent Thomas; each averaging at least 13 points a contest.
The 2012-13 playoff season has been full of upsets and amazing victories, including the Atlanta Falcons nearly losing to the Seattle Seahawks, and the San Francisco 49ers defeating the highly favored Green Bay Packers. On Jan. 17, a few days before the San Francisco 49ers competed against the Atlanta Falcons for the NFC divisional title, and the Baltimore Ravens went against the New England Patriots and fought for the AFC division, several members of the community were asked who they thought would survive the final round of playoffs and go to Super Bowl XLVII. The Military Film Series is a one month tradition celebrating the University’s 40 year relationship with the military. The University has been catering to military families through education and outreach for four decades.
Feeding Children Everywhere (FCE) is a charity organization that helps to bring the most basic needs to people throughout the world – food. FCE wants Saint Leo University (SLU) to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to help in this noble mission. “It started with four people sitting at a table with their laptops,” said Kile Riggs, Event Coordinator and a starting member of FCE.
Indeed, our upcoming graduates have contributed anywhere from 3 ½ to 7 ½ years of education, training, and commitment to higher learning. With only one hundred days left, the true test of what these students have learned from the past years comes to play. But as challenging as it is, the University wants to remind these students that there are many ways to help them now and even after they depart into these halls.
Last November thousands of voters in Florida waited for hours to cast their vote for the elected offices on the ballot from president to school board members. Many voters expressed feelings of outrage, disgust, and concern over this continued voting traffic jam. Voter ID, registration status, and precinct vote location were some of the main issues of confusion at polls.
Quality is a simple word, but it means a lot. Especially when it comes to how a student decides to buy their textbooks. It seems like an easy decision, but the cheapest price does not always guarantee that a place is going to have good service, be timely, or have decent quality textbooks in time for class.
As echoed in the reference publication, the United States of America (US) has for the past 2 decades become a role model to Ghana’s infant and perpetually nurtured democracy in the West African Sub Region. The US model of democracy remains truly inspirational to many developing democracies across the length and breadth of the globe.

With applications for the 2013-2014 year going live on Monday, Feb. 1, interested students are polishing up their resumes and preparing for the first interviews.
