Beetlejuice Beetlejuice came out on Sept. 6, 2024, and the movie captivated audiences with its intriguing storyline and amazing plot.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a comedy-horror movie that serves as a sequel to the original Beetlejuice film from 1988. It is based on a monster, whose name is Beetlejuice; he lives in a module in the attic of a house. When you say his name three times, he will come out of the module and haunt you.
Overall, the movie was interesting, fascinating, and a joy to watch. It had plot twists, and recurring characters from the first Beetlejuice in 1988, as well as new characters that added new dimensions to the plot.
Winona Ryder reprises her role as Lydia, who was the daughter in the original film, but now returns as the mother in the 2024 sequel. She was a mom to her daughter, Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega. The stepmother to Lydia, played by actress Catherine O’Hara, has also reprised her role in order to play her character, Delia. Even Micheal Keaton came back for the second movie as Beetlejuice himself.
This is exciting to Beetlejuice fans because their favorite characters came back for round two.
In Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the plot begins when the Deetz family comes back to their original house, which once housed ghosts living in the attic, and where Beetlejuice lived. Once again, Beetlejuice is still living in the model upstairs, in the attic, waiting for someone to say his name three times, so he can find Lydia and get her to marry him.
Lydia, on the other hand, is engaged to her fiancé, Rory, who nobody in the family is a big fan of. Likewise, Astrid, her daughter, is unhappy about the engagement. She wants her dad back, who died in a plane accident.
After the engagement of her mother, Astrid ran off and got herself into some trouble with a boy, leading her into the afterlife, where she wasn’t supposed to be. Lydia finds out and tries to get her daughter out, but only with the help of Beetlejuice. In exchange for his help, Beetlejuice gives Lydia a condition: she must marry him.
Sophomore, majoring in nursing, Lily Glasglow said, “It seems interesting. I’m excited to see Jenna Ortega in it since she is an amazing actress.”
The rest of the movie is filled with thrills, leaving you on the edge of your seat. You constantly want to know what is going to happen next. If you like funny, yet creepy movies, grab your popcorn and enjoy the excitement of the new Beetlejuice movie. It is a perfect film for the fall time coming up.
