When it comes to high-powered graphics and gawk-worthy gameplay, Sony’s PlayStation 3 is where the party’s at. Let’s start with some of its features.

The PS3 system is the only console with a built-in Blu-ray player. Watch or stream thousands of movies in high definition directly to your system. Think about this. When you watch content in Blu-ray on the PS3, you’ll immediately notice the amazing sound, picture, and HD action. Blu-ray itself simply brightens up for a more enjoyable TV experience. Since the PS3’s Blu-ray technology was made to last, everyone will enjoy the newest entertainment within years to come.

What about gaming? And who wants to play alone? According to Sony, the PlayStation Network has all the content and community support to ensure you always have someone to play with.

Your PlayStation Network account makes the PS3 system more than just a console. It becomes an entertainment machine. Download hundreds of games, free demos, add-ons, movies, exclusive shows, TV series, and more. Use your PS3 system’s built-in Wi-Fi connection or network port to get online to PlayStation Store. There you hit the jackpot of games: hundreds are available for download, from the latest releases to PS one Classics.

The list of games for the PlayStation 3 system is growing daily. The PS3 system delivers the goods from some of the industry’s hottest franchises, like SOCOM, to the most anticipated games of the year, like Uncharted 3 or Sonic Generations. Whatever you want to play, chances are the PS3 game library has it.

Say you’re playing a game and you need to do something. Send a message, change the music, locate an M&M that has disappeared somewhere on your person, whatever. Don’t quit – just press the PS button and use the XMB to pause the action. Download exclusive games directly from PlayStation Network and meet up with millions of PlayStation Network members to play online multiplayer games. Get access to free demos and add-ons and dominate the competition to collect game trophies. Or take a minute to explore PlayStation Home, an interactive virtual gaming platform where you can build yourself a sweet-looking avatar and join and launch games online. Get the most popular and best-selling games for the PS3™, PSP®, and PS2™ system at a reduced price in our Greatest Hits section. Awesome games like Spyro the Dragon don’t fade away. They become Greatest Hits.

The PS3 system was the first to use the Cell Broadband Engine, an advanced microprocessor that lets your PS3 system work at incredibly fast speeds to give you the best possible gaming and viewing experience.

In addition to the advanced processor at its heart, the PS3™ has a built-in High Definition Blu-ray player and enormous hard disk drive (HDD) storage. That means you can store mammoth amounts of games and media on your machine and you can watch HD movies in all their glory.

Okay…now that the moment of shine is set for this amazing system, please be warned. Like every other system, this one also has problems. Actually, the main problem is more like a slap in the face.

If you are using the Sony Play Station 3 you are very likely to have seen the ps3 yellow light of death on the main console. This is the yellow light that blinks at some times on the PS3. Similar to the red light fault display, the yellow light of death is also an indication of certain errors in the device.

The PS3 yellow light of death can blink due to several reasons. The very common reasons are as follows: overheating of the device, loose cables or connections, or loose hard drives.

If you find the yellow light of death blinking on your PS3 check for all of these reasons. Even after correcting these problems, if the light is still blinking, you may require to repair the device. If you are within the warranty period, it is better to send the device for repair to the Sony repair center itself. This ensures that your product is repaired correctly. And there will be no service charges as well. But if you have crossed your warranty period, you may have to pay some money for the service being offered.

With today’s technology increasing in power, eventually, there will be a system like no other. The question is: Will you be ready when it’s released?
