On September 24, 2012, blood donation buses parked outside of the Saint Leo cafeteria encouraged students to donate blood. These blue buses make a few appearances every year to bring students an opportunity to practice the core value of community.
There are Greeks living on campus. However, they are not the toga gladiator kind (though some might like to think they are): they are the sorority and fraternity kind. Last week, the Greek organizations were looking for some new inductees through an event called Rush Week.

WSLU Radio, 107.1FM or 1620AM, was started by Saint Leo University students in 1945 and used to be carry the call letters WLEO. The station has gone through many starts and stops over the years, despite facing these many setbacks its once again is roaring its way to the Saint Leo student body.
The Sport Business Program has partnered with the National Sports Forum to form a Sport Business Speaker Series for not only Sport Business students, but the entire Saint Leo community. Tapia School of Business and will speak about their area of expertise in addition to answering any questions that students may have.

For the freshman on Saint Leo University’s campus, you may think Henderson hall was predominantly all girls and Benoit hall was for all guys. In this circumstance you would be wrong.
Nearly two years ago, Rutgers freshmen Tyler Clementi committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after his roommate outed him on the internet by broadcasting his encounter with another man on the Internet for all to see. This sent a blaze in the media and across college campuses about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered students. This affected me greatly as an openly gay student at a Catholic institution. I wondered if this could happen on the Saint Leo University campus.
According to merriam-webster.com, a prank “is a mildly mischievous act”. The key word here is “mildly”. What could possibly go wrong by committing a little prank? Well as two of our very own freshmen found out, what may sound like fun could land you in jail.
