On Feb. 12, the Campus Activity Board (CAB) hosted “Bloom with Love”, an afternoon where students could walk up outside the Student Activity Building (SAB) and create personalized bouquets! Students lined up at the table of flowers, eager to design their own arrangement of beautiful flowers.
Everyone’s faces were lit up as they saw the colorful flowers. There were tulips, roses, and baby’s breath all laid out so you could see your options. There was a variety of colors, depending on whether you wanted a classic red rose bouquet or one filled with bright colors like hot pink and yellow. They had every color, depending on what you were going for.

Every bouquet was handcrafted by individual students, and each was unique and different. Some people chose their favorite colors or made a bouquet that matched their personality and style.
Hannah Lynn, Mail Center Supervisor at Saint Leo University, said, “My favorite part was seeing all the different flowers and choosing which ones to make the bouquet out of!”
After you chose which flowers you wanted in your bouquet, you could use pink, red, or white string to tie it together into a bow, so the flowers remained together. There were also scissors to cut the ends of the stems to make them more even and aesthetically pleasing.
The event attracted mostly all girls and a few guys who made bouquets for their significant others in honor of Valentine’s Day.

The event did not last long enough for everyone to get one because in one hour and 30 minutes, the event ended because all of the flowers were gone.
This event was wholesome and perfect for Valentine’s Day! Being outside in the fresh air, surrounded by the Saint Leo University community, gathered for a cute craft made for a wonderful afternoon on campus!
When the event ended, everyone was smiling and excited about their fresh flowers! Now, students can place real flowers in their dorm rooms to make their space feel more like home.
The aroma of the flowers filled the air, students walked away filled with love and happiness, and this event bloomed into something beautiful.
