On Aug. 27, 2024, the Saint Leo University Campus will be swarming with new faces, and some familiar ones, as school is now back in session. While many look forward to starting their classes, others enjoy the presence of their friends and spending time with each other during fun activities on campus.

At the heart of the excitement is the Campus Activities Board (CAB), a group of students who plan on- and off-campus events for all students to participate in and enjoy, fostering an environment where students can thrive beyond the classroom.

From the start of the fall semester, as classes commence, all the way through the end of the school year, students can anticipate a diverse range of on-campus events. These include a welcome back celebration, bingo nights, themed study sessions, trivia nights, and the hosting of the infamous Moonlight Breakfast.

Destiny Diaz, who is a senior and a commuter, says: “I enjoy the bingo nights and the Moonlight Breakfast.”

There are many ways for students to be informed about upcoming events. On social media, students can follow CAB on Instagram @saintleocab.

A great way to explore a variety of events hosted by different clubs and organizations is by going onto EngageLeo, an online platform where events are posted by their hosting clubs and organizations, and information about specifics regarding a club or organization.

Another great way to find out about events is checking your email for the Student Activities Newsletter that is sent out to all students. They provide frequent updates on the community and events, along with information on how to attend. Additionally, they sometimes add information about internships, or other fun non-activity related things.
