SGU position you applied for: Vice President of Communication Management
What experience do you have which makes you qualified for the position you’re running for and a better choice than your opponent(s)?
I am a very dedicated person and give 100% to everything that I do. I am only a second-semester freshman, and I have been super involved on campus; I already hold an E-Board position as a Secretary for Alpha Phi Omega. With my secretary position and being a part of SGU Senate, I can easily transition into the role of Vice President of Communications since I already know how to take minutes and am familiar with all forms of social media that VPCM works with.
Why do you want this position and what/who inspired or motivated you to run?
I wanted to run for this position to take on a higher leadership role and to challenge my leadership skills. Also, I was motivated to run since I want to be involved and want a bigger opportunity to connect with the students on campus.
What do you hope to accomplish and how do you plan to accomplish these goals in your position?
I want to promote more school spirit and get more people to attend events that SGU hosts. I will do this by promoting all these events on social media and showing my passion for the school, hoping that it rubs off on others.
What would your first action in office be, if you are elected?
I would promote any upcoming events and encourage people to come out to them. Also, I would promote SGU so that more students will be involved on campus.
