Moonlight Madness

One of Saint Leo University’s many traditions includes that of Moonlight Madness – an annual event that kicks off the start of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons. Much like Saint Leo, larger schools host events to indicate the beginning of their athletic program’s basketball seasons. However, despite the fact that Saint Leo hosts such an event every year, this year’s Moonlight Madness will be somewhat different than last year’s.

Hosted by Saint Leo Athletics and the Student Government Union, October’s Moonlight Madness will be the first of many for new Saint Leo Men’s Basketball Coach Lance Randall and Women’s Coach Nikki Jessee. In addition to recognizing the new coaches and new and returning players of each team, those attending can expect to enjoy a fun atmosphere and free give-aways. Fans will be able to participate in opportunities to receive free Domino’s pizza as well as free Saint Leo gear. The night will also include comedian Jen Kober, the Air Elite Trampoline Gymnastic Basketball Team, as well as contests and raffles to win various prizes. Sponsored by Dunkin Donuts, the grand prize of one of the many raffles will be an iPad. This year’s Moonlight Madness will take place in the Marian Bowman Activities Center on October 14th at 7 p.m.
