Under the light of the bright moon and the shining stars, Saint Leo University students were waiting for the celebration of the Greek Mythology Moonlight Breakfast. On Dec.1, the Saint Leo University Student Government Union (SGU) organized the traditional Moonlight Breakfast, which is held at the end of each semester to support students before final exams.

Moonlight Breakfast is one of the most anticipated events, where students line up in a long queue waiting for the doors to open. While the students wait for the event to start, some are playing board games, others are doing homework, and others are talking with friends. The doors of the dining hall opened at 8 p.m.

Moonlight Breakfast allowed students not only to enjoy free Chick-fil-A, Publix donuts, pizza, and specialty coffee but also to feel like part of a unified student community. It was that rare moment when academic worries faded into the background as the room was filled with joy, unity, and respite before the final exams began the following week.

One of the main features of the evening was the free themed T-shirts, specifically designed for this event. Each participant who entered the dining hall was given a branded T-shirt featuring the university’s lion symbol.

“I like the design of the T-shirt; such things make the event even more memorable,” said Yulissa Barrios, a junior majoring in Marketing.

In addition, SGU provided everyone with the opportunity to take a survey and get a chance to win a 65-inch TV. This prize inspired the students, and a large line quickly formed around the survey.

The buzz around the giveaway added even more excitement to the night, creating the perfect atmosphere for students to chat, laugh, and make memories together. Moonlight Breakfast is always filled with new faces to meet and familiar ones to reconnect with.

“I especially like that such events help to meet new people and feel the unity of the campus. Here, you can not only relax but also feel like a part of the student community,” said Barrios.

The combination of relaxation, prizes, and free treats makes Moonlight Breakfast an exciting event for the campus.

Moonlight Breakfast allows students to enjoy their favorite fast food. Sometimes all students want to do is enjoy delicious food and relax after a long day of classes.

“I love and always try to come to Moonlight Breakfast, because it is already an established university tradition that brings together almost all students. Such events create a great atmosphere for meetings with friends and strengthen ties within the campus,” said Barrios

Greek Mythology Moonlight Breakfast was not just a celebration but a reminder of how important support, community, and tradition are to students. Such events help strengthen bonds among students, foster a sense of belonging, and create memories that last forever.

Saint Leo continues to foster a culture of caring, unity, and student engagement. By judging the students’ impressions, such events will be eagerly awaited again.
