Everyone loves receiving gifts, especially when luck smiles upon you. Just imagine the room falling completely silent, you glance down at your card and yell, “Bingo!” Suddenly, all eyes turn toward you, and fortune is on your side.
With Valentine’s Day coming around the corner, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) gave students an evening full of excitement and pleasant surprises.
On Feb. 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., students gathered in the Student Community Center (SCC) boardrooms for a chance to win mystery prizes. The evening centered around themes of love, romance, and relationships, embracing the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
Even before the game started, there was a long queue of students waiting at the door, eager to start. Those who came in pink received an additional bingo card from CAB. It was a small bonus that not only increased the chances of winning but also increased the anticipation.

“Bingo for the university is a tradition every month. This time, the theme of everyone’s favorite game was love in honor of the approaching Valentine’s Day holiday,” said Hayli Angarano, Director of Seasonal Events and a sophomore majoring in Communications.
“Our main goal is to attract as many students as possible to support the university’s community spirit,” added Angarano.
In addition to the pink outfits of the students and organizers, the SCC boardrooms were decorated in honor of the holiday. Red tablecloths, pink decorations, and romantic music filled the space with warmth and a festive mood.
The students came in groups, chatting animatedly and guessing who would win the main prize. Even those who came alone quickly found new acquaintances and felt part of the university family.
This month, “Love and Luck Bingo” was particularly intriguing. The organizers chose to keep the prizes a secret, which heightened curiosity among the students.
“This time, we decided to wrap all the gifts so that the winners could enjoy the surprise of unwrapping them, and the audience could watch their reactions. I think beautifully wrapped gifts are always mysterious and exciting,” said Angarano.
That evening, a variety of prizes were awarded, such as a Polaroid camera, a cozy blanket, aValentine’s Day-themed LEGO set, an Apple Watch, and a TV!

Friends celebrated every win together, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In these moments, the excitement in the room made the evening truly unforgettable.
Boardrooms were filled with laughter, jubilation, and joy, and sometimes friendly sighs of disappointment when another prize went to someone else.
Bingo remains one of the most popular events among Saint Leo University students. Every month, the participants look forward to the announcement of a new date to try their luck again.
Once again, bingo brought students together and helped them make new friends. Some left the event happy, holding a brand-new iPad, while others walked away hopeful that luck would smile on them next time.
