Cash Game Rules Everything Around Me

In a world where money rules almost everything and everyone’s main goal is to earn money to live comfortability. Saint Leo decided to do something different on campus and make a game out of the quest for money. On January 14, 2020, the campus activities board of saint Leo university hosted its first Free Money Game Show in the boardrooms.

 

Yes! FREE MONEY. The essence of the show is for four contestants to come up to the panel and answer questions based off different pop culture topics for a chance to win. Students were able to win up to $200. So, the real question is, who was unfortunate enough to miss this wonderful event. As we all know as college students, we love free money and they get the chance to do something fun to earn it.

The game ran for 4 rounds with each round having a different set of 4 students competing for the cash prizes. For each round the students were selected through a series of variance of activities. Students had to do different dances, show photos from the prom day and even had to blow up a balloon and sit on it to pop them. Students were very eager to do all these activities get a chance to compete in the game to make some easy money.

Campus Activities Board member who helped organized this event Breanna Wilson said,  “When CAB went to NACA, we played this game and one of our own members won the game and we felt like it would be a good idea to bring this to campus because we had so much fun playing and we knew the students would too, as it gives them a chance to do something fun and also win money because we all want money.”

Wilson was definitely right about the students enjoying themselves. Even students who never got a chance to play, were singing along to the songs being played in the game and trying to guess the answers themselves. One of the round Winners known to the campus as Ceejay, Freshman, majoring in criminal justice shared how he won. He said “The game was very close, but it was fun, and it helped that I watch a lot of tv and listen to a lot of different kinds of music” This event was a major success, and it is clear that the students that this event will happen more often.
