Psychologists believe that the need to feel loved is a primary human emotional need. We needed love before we ever “fell in love,” and we’ll need it forever.
On Feb. 15, a van full of Saint Leo University students rolled into the Trader Joe’s parking lot instead of sitting down in their normal afternoon classroom setting. This field trip mission was spearheaded by Peter Marian, an instructor of management at Saint Leo, who figured that turning the on-paper case study into a real-life experience would be transformative for his students.

However, when Saint Leo University students met an assortment of friendly alpacas on Feb. 13, they had no idea that the encounter was made possible by a relationship formed through the Wellness Center community.
