Back in 2007, Sheldon Jackson College, located in Sitka, Alaska, was shut down due to low enrollment and lack of funding. Since that time, John Peterson, science professor at Saint Leo since 2001, intends to take a group of students from Saint Leo to help volunteer and revitalize the once prestigious college.
By all accounts, Tyler Clementi was a bright young man, as well as gifted violinist. On September 22, Tyler Clementi jumped off the George Washington Bridge and ended his life, following his roommate’s unauthorized broadcast of Clementi’s sexual encounter with another man. In doing so, Tyler Clementi became another victim in a tragedy as old as time.

American vampire films these days tend to feature pale men and women with undeniable sex appeal as their otherworldly protagonists, and also tend to be love stories rather than pictures that focus on the true nature of monsters. To many, this is a mockery of the genre. However, now there is a picture out that represents a switch from what has become the typical American vampire movie to the older standard of horror.

Katie Gramlich and her boyfriend, Steve Ferraro, have been battling Steve’s Lymphoma for about a year. She, along with others found a place to fight for the ones they love through the Team in Training. The Team in Training was established a year after Steve’s birth, in 1988 in New York, the very state he grew up in.

The horror genre continues to persist in mainstream cinema, with studios releasing dozens of frightening, gory, and sometimes absurd movies come September and October. However, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the scary from the downright silly.
St. Petersburg is best known on this campus for its beaches and perhaps the nightlife. What students do not know is what happens when it gets dark. The mystery lingers through the air as professional tour guides take groups through a history of haunted stories on the St. Pete Ghost Tours.
With registration for spring 2011 slowly creeping up on the Saint Leo student body, the School of Arts and Science has some new and interesting courses that will be available for next semester.
