Sometimes it can seem like Saint Leo, FL is in the middle of nowhere, especially since the scenery passed during a drive off campus consists of trees, trees and more trees. However, if we put all of the factors together everything is not all that far away.
The world of technology is advancing in leaps and bounds, where science fiction may be closer to reality than ever before. A time filled in discovery and innovations, the 21st century is on a roll that seems to have no ending, especially in the field of computer programming. Specifically pertaining to Google, computer scientists have been able to create an artificial intelligence known as DeepMind. With such advancements, Google is using this research to make a whole new line of technological progression.
At times, it may seem impossible to find time to exercise in between rushing back and forth to classes, doing homework, and preparing a worthwhile meal. However, with just a little effort such a mission can be accomplished. Over the years many college students have let the weight of their textbooks weigh them down. Still the story doesn’t have to be the same for everyone. The infamous ‘freshman 15’ is not mandatory.
Sunday, March 1, 2015- The Saint Leo Women’s softball team took the field at noon for the double header against Barry University Buccaneers. Saint Leo entered this game with a record of 13-2, with a winning streak of seven games prior to today’s outing. This was their first conference series of the season. Barry came in with a record of 12-5, and this series was their first round of the Sunshine State Conference play as well.
“Seventh Son” is an hour and two minutes long fantasy story that runs through the time worn plot of a young warrior fighting to save the world and the love of his life from the forces of darkness.
Is it possible that technology will be able to artificially produce the same energy as the sun? Scientists around the world are researching new technologies to make just that possible. Just think of it, a time when cars and computers alike will be powered by the sun’s energy.
Everyone has heard of the saying “a picture says a thousand words,” and in many cases that is true. Even though pictures speak a volume, that does not mean that modern society needs to stop communicating with each other.

On Feb 9. Saint Leo University’s Student Activities Board along with Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity Incorporated and the school’s very own Lioness dancers hosted a fashion show dedicated to a week of love for Valentine’s Day. The event contained Valentine’s Day fashion preparation, prizes and entertainment provided by various students and organizations on and off campus.
Each year, before the biggest event on the WWE, formerly known as World Wrestling Entertainment, calendar, WrestleMania, the WWE honors professional wrestling’s past by inducting the men and women that helped pave the way for the current pro wrestlers to follow.
