Every year, there are so many exciting and heart-warming traditions at Saint Leo University that you can count on. Every season, there are big events that make the holidays extra special.

As we transition into Fall, there will be some exciting traditions students and faculty do every October.

The Family Fall Festival is a cherished annual event where students are encouraged to invite their family and friends. The festival features live music, food and drinks, hayrides, and engaging games. Students look forward to the festival all year long, since it perfectly captures the essence of fall.

The beautiful Christmas tree lighting is a winter favorite. In this event, students gather around the tree, that lights up in colorful lights. There is live Christmas music celebrating the profound meaning of the season and honoring the message of Jesus.

After the lighting, there are games and festive foods featuring cookies, hot cocoa, and so much more. It is a joyful tradition students cherish every Dec.

As students are stressed about finals, a tradition that has been created to help with the students’anxiety is Moonlight Breakfast. Every Dec. and April, students wait in a long line, playing bingo and games, for the delicious food inside the dining hall. There is Chick-fil-A, iced coffees, pizza, and yummy sweets that students love.

In March, the annual spring fling is a treasured event. It contains bounce houses, fun painting stations, board games, and fun festive activities. Families and friends come together to celebrate, bringing joy and community. Next year, be sure to check it out and mark it on your calendars.

Beyond all the fun events, the biggest Saint Leo University tradition is its positivity and the collectiveness of this community. This is what makes Saint Leo university so special!

Dr. Caton, a student success coach, said, “I am touched by how the Saint Leo University community truly comes together in times of need, such as helping those in need after Hurricane Helene.”

Saint Leo traditions not only improve the college experience but are also huge events that students can look back on, as they remember their favorite college memories.

Saint Leo traditions transform college life into something special, exciting, and joyful. They provide you with memories you will never forget. Memories you will cherish forever.

Professor DeBerri, said, “Celebrating traditions are fun and also connect current students with alumnae and alumni.”
