It is a good time to be a Taylor Swift fan. In the last six months, her fans have held release parties for her new album and were “enchanted” by her re-recorded albums. A tour was even announced, which covers her whole career to date.
After a tumultuous affair with Ticketmaster, fans of Swift are ready to “shake it off” at a show with good friends, cute outfits, and lots of fun.
Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is coming to Tampa in April, and here’s what you need to “be ready for it.”
When to arrive:
Whether you are going to the April 13, 14, or 15 show, the concert will begin at 6:30p.m. However, it is important to leave plenty of time for the drive there and parking. (Parking can be purchased here).
If you are interested in buying tour merchandise, you may want to arrive before the doors open in order to get in line. The gates will open at 4:30p.m. so that Swifties can get there early!
What to wear:
As you may have seen on social media, people will be “dressed to the nines” for the Eras tour. Some people will be “bejeweled” in sparkles, sequins, and boots, and others will be in jeans and a Swiftie t-shirt! Some may even elect to dress as a certain “era” or copy one of Swift’s past looks.
Whatever you wear, make sure it is something you feel comfortable and confident in. You wouldn’t want your night to be ruined by a wardrobe malfunction!
What to bring:
Each venue is different, but luckily for those going to the Tampa shows, we have got all the information you need. Following all the rules and policies are especially important; you don’t want to miss out on seeing Taylor Swift. (All the policies can be found here).
If you’re thinking about bringing a bag, make sure that it is a clutch purse no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. You won’t have to bring a “cardigan” because you’ll likely get warm. Hair ties are an absolute must, we don’t want anyone to get too hot while they are “shaking it off.”
Make sure your phone is fully charged and ready to take as many pictures and videos as your heart desires. If you can fit it in your clutch, pack a portable charger too!
“Stay, stay, stay” safe:
Staying safe is always going to be the top priority; if coming alone, make sure you are aware of your surroundings. Swift has taught us it is good to be “fearless,” but do not compromise your personal safety.
If arriving with a group, remember the buddy system. It is “nice to have a friend” so you can continue to sing your hearts out, even if it is in line for the restroom.
Go with your favorite Swifties:
Swift’s music carries a strong message of being with people you love. Whether that be your family or your best Swiftie friends, be sure to go with someone who you will enjoy your time with.
If you choose to go alone, you may not be completely “on your own, kid.” There is a good chance you can even make friends with the people in your section. Being a Swiftie means being a part of a fantastic community, and we are all here to support one another!
Have fun!
Don’t be afraid to sing along, dance it out, and live in the moment. While we all love to take pictures and videos during concerts, taking a step back and savoring the moment is the perfect way to go.
No matter where your seats are, you won’t “need to calm down” because Swift makes sure that everyone, no matter their seats, will have the best experience.
“Long story short,” this will be a night that we will remember “all too well” (the ten-minute version, of course).
Never in their “wildest dreams” did fans think they would get to enjoy all of Swift’s discography. Yet, Swift promises to deliver and create a magical night for everyone.
