Are you sick of a boring kitchen but have a college budget? Rae Dunn may be your saving grace. Rae Dunn pottery is a new kitchen couture trend that is budget friendly and beautiful.

Most Rae Dunn pottery pieces can be found at TjMaxx, Marshalls and Home Goods. Her line originally started with her iconic mugs with a very simple writing on them. each mug would have a simple word like “peace”, “coffee” or “sip”. Since her line has become such a sensation, she has come out with plates, bowls, cake plates, ice cream, scoops, salt and pepper shakers, mixing bowls and so much more. She also creates pieces for the home now including magnets, clocks and wall décor.

Rae Dunn is a California native that resides in the San Francisco area. She has stated that her inspiration comes from earth and that she finds beauty in simple shapes. Simplicity is a common factor in all of her work since most pieces have her simple hand writing on it. She has released new pieces with a more cursive handwriting and typewriter print but they are not as popular or exciting.

Most kitchen materials cost more than we would like, so Rae Dunn has always made her collection affordable. Each mug cost $5.99 unless it is a mug set which is $12.99. Cookie jars/ canisters range from $10 to $15 which is a steal. Rae Dunn pieces also frequently go on clearance at the stores listed above. When they go on clearance, there is nothing wrong with them, the store is just making room for the new items. This is a great section to save some money and find awesome mugs.

With Christmas just around the corner, keep an eye out for the newly released Christmas collection. This collection consists of wrapping paper, gift bags and labels, Santa’s cookies plates, Christmas mugs, Christmas canisters, signs and ornaments.

Rae Dunn has had a cult following since the first mug was released. Ever since, many individuals hold Rae Dunn collections and take it very seriously. Many wives have sent their husbands to HomeGoods when the doors open to get the newest pottery pieces. Because it is so affordable, it is very easy to start collecting. Even though these pieces are great pieces to use in everyday life, many buy china cabinets just to show off their collections.

One of the most surprising Rae Dunn releases is her candle collection. With every holiday, she releases a new candle collection. As a collector myself, for fall I got 2 candles. One is a vanilla bean candle that says “Thankful” in her iconic writing and the other is an apple cider scented candle that says “Apple”.

Don’t let your kitchen be boring and drab, run to Marshalls and grab yourself some Rae Dunn mugs!
