February culture corner: A review of “Shooting My Life’s Script”

There is nothing that excites a reader more than a beloved book that becomes a movie. And, this month, “Shooting My Life’s Script” readers can get excited because “Shooting My Life Script” the movie, has just been released, getting all the fans thrilled about the idea of seeing this movie on their screens. 

The movie was released on Feb. 14 on Amazon Prime Video and is based on the first book of a series written by Paula Pimenta.

“Shooting my Life’s Script” tells the story of Fani, the protagonist, who is a 16-year-old girl extremely passionate about movies. Her dream is to study cinema and become a filmmaker in Hollywood.

Fani’s life is as great and full of joy as the life of an enthusiastic teenage girl should be. But everything starts to change when she discovers two pieces of news that will change her life forever. 

First, she discovers that she was accepted into an exchange program, and second, she discovers her best friend, Leo, is in love with her. 

All this news affects Fani in multiple ways, since, for a girl whose life was stable, now everything would change. Not only because she would be away from her family, friends, and school, but also because her friendship with Leo, which means a lot to her, would be threatened by those new feelings she was now aware of.

However, the news might represent good opportunities to go to a new country, have new experiences, and find love for the first time. 

“Shooting My Life’s Script” is a story about teenage love, friendship, discoveries, and decisions in such a complex phase. Also, the movie is special not only because of its script but because it is based on a special book that has millions of fans all over the world.
