Everyone has a favorite television series and becomes ecstatic when their favorite series releases new episodes. This fact remains true with the popular Grey’s Anatomy series. The creators premiered the twentieth season of the series on Thursday, March 14.

The Grey’s Anatomy series premiered in 2005 and followed the life of the main character Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) along with her fellow intern’s journey in the fictional Grey Solan Memorial Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

The episodes of the twentieth season are being released on a weekly basis on Thursday nights and currently have three episodes of the season available to stream.

This season follows a different group of interns than the series originally started with, and it follows the new interns’ experiences at the hospital. It also follows an important clinical trial that the main character of the series, Meredith Grey, has been working on, which is to find a treatment for Alzheimer’s.

This season already includes many interesting medical procedures that the interns get to witness, interesting situations that the interns found themselves in, and references to earlier seasons.

There are multiple fan favorites that make appearances during the season including Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson).

Overall, there has been little uproar about the new season compared to some of the other seasons of Grey’s Anatomy that have been released. The most common complaints of the recent series being that it has become too political, and that it has strayed away from what fans had originally fallen in love with.

Many students here at Saint Leo University find comfort in the Grey’s Anatomy series like Kendyl Ryan, a freshman majoring in criminal justice, remarking that she “loves that show.”

If you are interested in watching the Grey’s Anatomy series, you can watch all the seasons, including the newest, on Hulu. Happy watching, Lions!
