The Untitled Avengers 4 movie officially finished shooting scenes on Oct. 4 stated on Twitter by Chris Evans. The tweet did not just let know fans that filming has ended, but he had to let fans know that would be his last movie with Marvel. That means no more Captain America for Chris Evans. In Chris Evans’ tweet, he wrote “Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the 8 years has been an honor.” This was a shock to many fans, but there had been word that Evans’ contract was coming to an end.

Evans has respectively been playing Captain America since 2011, starring in 10 out of the 21 films Marvel has created since then. Many fans have been replying to this tweet, saying this is sad news. Not only are supporters showing their sadness, but other celebrities have also reacted like Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson. This is sad and happy news because Chris Evans has been the face of the famous superhero for a long time, and many fans grew up knowing that he was Captain America. It will be okay because he did an excellent job playing the role.

Now that everyone knows Evans is retired from playing Captain America, no one knows what is going to happen in the next film. “Avengers: Infinity War” was a crazy roller coaster ride. It was impossible to know what would happen next. Will Captain America die in the next film? Or will Captain America merely retire from saving the world? There are so many questions, but we will not find out the answers until the next release in 2019.
