Caffeine is defiantly an essential to many college students. Everyone wants convenient and affordable coffee that is not too far from the school. There aren’t many coffee places near Saint Leo University, but the local ones are completely worth it!
The closest one to Saint Leo University is a very small, one worker coffee shop, one minute down the road, called “A Cup of Organic.” They have many choices of coffee, including lattes of many flavors, mochas, iced coffees, and coffee granita. They also have hot and cold teas and organic and non-organic pastries, which would go along-side perfectly with a coffee of your choice. When I tried their coffee out, I was nicely greeted as I ordered a caramel granita, which is an iced blended up caramel flavored coffee. It was absolutely fantastic and was served to me in speedy time. With the convenient location, the great tasting coffee, and the fast service with a smile, I highly recommend “A Cup of Organic” to be a quick stop for caffeine!
Further away from campus, but completely worth the drive, is a coffee shop in Wesley Chapel called “Buttermilk Provision.” This shop has many different choices while an aesthetic view. Some options are espresso drinks, hot brew, and cold brew, along-side with many house-made syrups like vanilla, caramel, chocolate, almond, seasonal lavender, and seasonal peppermint. When I went, I ordered a chocolate cold brew. I got an instant caffeine punch that kept me energized for the rest of the day. The service was very fast, and the workers were very happy to take my order.
Another shop in Wesley Chapel right across from Tampa Premium Outlets is a shop called “Sweetea Café.” This shop is also very aesthetic and has many valued choices. They are known for their tapioca Boba coffees. Whenever I go, I get a double shot of caramel espresso with almond milk, and I occasionally get chai tea with almond milk. They are both amazing choices and are filled with caffeine that will keep you going for the whole day. I go here often, and it has my favorite coffee in the area. “I love grabbing a coffee and sitting down and doing homework for hours in their cute shop,” Said Kayla Benoit, freshman sports business major. This is the best place to do homework because it has a lot of table room. They also serve snacks and light meals to get you through your studying!
There are many other places close to Saint Leo University, but these three coffee shops are the three that are closest to school and in my opinion, worth the drive. These coffee shops are much more fun and exciting than your everyday Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks!
