A walk-through Dade City

Entering Dade City, sunny skies, fresh flowers, unique finds, friendly faces, and holiday traditions make it feel like home. You will find yourself wandering down the streets of many coffee shops, boutiques, and delicious restaurants.

Dade City provides it all, whether it’s getting a vanilla latte at the Treehouse Mercantile or finding a new vase at The Two Krazy Chicks. Getting out of the dorm rooms and adventuring to see what is out there is a fun experience!

Let these photos of the little town create an experience for you. Let it feel like you’re walking on the sidewalk with a hot coffee in your hand, smelling the pumpkin shortbreads across the street about to head into one of the many boutiques after spotting the most precious necklace through the window glass of the store. 

Take a walk through the one and only Dade City, since 1885. As you are strolling down 7 Street, you will find one of the best antique shops in town! The Two Krazy Chicks Antiques & more, provide decorations, beautiful mugs, rustic signs, darling dresses, cowgirl boots, and the most adorable gifts. They also do craft classes for all! 

You will never go home empty-handed. As soon as you think you’re done shopping, you will walk by the Rustic Elegance Boutique and must go inside! You won’t miss the sparkly shoes that catch your eye or the charming pastel dresses.

There are multiple selections of amazing restaurants on every street! It varies from southern goods, Greek food, and sweet treats! One of the restaurants, The Wine Library, has a gorgeous view of the streets of Dade City. 

This place is mature, but it is beautiful. Not only do they have restaurants, but also many coffee and tea spots too, such as Tree House Mercantile and Angel Tea Room Heavenly Treasures which are perfect for study sessions! You’re always greeted with a smile and decorations surround you that will remind you of the holidays.

Grace Lundfelt, a junior in the nursing program, said, “I love Dade City because of the country style, the cows, and it’s close to my home! My favorite place to visit is Kafe Kokopelli because I love their food!”

Another cozy spot is The Book Shack which includes tables outside for study sessions or toenjoy the city. They carry genres from horror to history and even kids’ books.

Just walking around Dade City, you will find yourself smelling the magnolias and watching as painters paint the murals on the walls. The architecture and nature leave you breathless and relax you.

Agnus Lamb Park is filled with stunning trees, places to sit and you will see people walking their dogs everywhere. Many events are held here, like the annual market on every first Saturday!

Agnus Lamb Park also has street names called North Pole and Lollipop next to a small redhouse. It is Christmas themed and leaves you smiling.

Don’t forget to stop by the gorgeous courthouse! It was built in 1909 and designed by E.C. Hosford and was updated to be more modern in 1979. It stands in the middle of the town proudly and is worth stopping by.

Dade City holds a special place in our county; the owners and workers make it feel like family. There are so many amazing spots, and you are guaranteed to have a blast!
