On Thursday Jan. 17th, the saint Leo community hosted the second involvement fair of the academic year. On the pathway between the SAB and the school of business, multiple organizations and clubs had set up tables in an attempt to advertise themselves for returning students and the new faces around campus.
This event was put together by Alexis Sullivan, graduate assistant of student activities, who is very passionate about what she does. As students flock from tables to tables, they get more information on how to join the different clubs and where and when those organizations hold their body meetings.
All the clubs you can think of came together to recruit potential club members.
The International Student Association (ISA) were responsible for organizing the international food night in the fall. Culinary dishes were served in a banquet style for the students. This semester, the club is planning on having a Regional Spotlight Day where one region of the world will be honored.
Several organizations display the benefits of joining them this semester.
The Gold Rush Dance Team is a group where individuals are connected by their shared love of dancing. Despite only having female members right now, the club is open to welcome male members into their community. The club gets to dance at campus Sport Events and outside competitions. For anyone that would be interested, auditions will be held in March.
Everyone had a smile on their face as they welcome potential club members.
The Black Student Union is also open to welcome students from different background as their primary mission is to highlight the importance of community through group activities. Their body meeting will be held on January 23rd at 6:00 p.m. in room 302 in Kirk Hall.
Greek life displays what their organizations are all about.
The Debate Club is also a great option for anyone that is passionate about what they believe in. With their meetings held on Mondays at 6:00pm in room 214 of the SOB, the debate club challenges its members with pertinent questions meant to sharpen their critical thinking skills. They are currently trying to partner up with USF’s debate club for travelling purposes.

The campus clubs are not only limited to those mentioned in the article. There seems to be a club for everything. If not, students can get together and get the necessary authorization to start a new club or organization.
