Our most precious memories are oftentimes tied to time spent with family and friends, to time spent giving to others, and to time spent reflecting on the true nature of the Christmas season. Here are some favorite Christmas traditions and memories from members of the Saint Leo University community.
Bruno Mars took a long hiatus after the release of his wildly successful studio album, “24k Magic,” in 2016. However, this year, he made a comeback with neo-soul, funk, and hip-hop artist Anderson .Paak to deliver the sounds of the 70’s packaged in a nine-track project. Released on Nov. 12, the album charted number one on Billboard’s R&B charts, and 2nd behind Taylor Swift’s “Red” on the all-genre chart.
International students are only permitted to work on campus—this creates a competitive market for student employment.
On Nov. 15, Saint Leo University hosted an event in TECO Hall in light of Vaccination Appreciation Day to discuss the importance of vaccinations. In light of the COVID-19 vaccine release, Saint Leo hosted a few speakers to answer a few questions regarding the pandemic as well as the effectiveness of vaccinations.
As the last four years of my college experience comes to a close in December, I reflect on my many days of studying, Zooming, and taking naps.
The 2021 student-run production of “Pollyanna” is scheduled to go on stage in early December with 2 shows on Saturday, Dec. 4 starting at 2:00P.M. and 7:00P.M., and one show on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 5:00P.M.-7:00P.M. The performance will be held in the Black Box Theatre in Benedictine Hall, on Saint Leo’s University Campus.
Being in the military isn’t an easy profession, as soldiers must endure a strict world where they are challenged mentally and physically. Some military-connected students have to manage their courses and the life of a solider at the same time.
On Saturday, November 6th, 2021, a rally was organized for Saint Leo University alumni during the Homecoming weekend. At this event, former Saint Leo students got together in remembrance of the good old college days. It was a fulfilling and joyful atmosphere where alumni and current students had the chance to meet and reunite.
Saint Leo University’s Homecoming was an occasion to reunite and share memories with old friends. The 50th reunion was one for the ages. Reunited around a good cup of their favorite coffee, the alumni gathered in a joyful and warm atmosphere in this however cold weather of early November.
