These are the top 5 teams to win the Super Bowl.
(Ozona Elementary, Florida) Here are our five top contenders to win the Super Bowl! Using scores and records from Football Reference, we put together a roster of incredible teams that have a chance to win it all.
- Coming in at Number 5, we have the New England Patriots. Their coach Bill Belichick has coached 19 years of professional Football for the Patriots.
The Patriots are 6x champion and with their quarterback, Tom Brady, the Patriots chance to win the super bowl is + 400. The Patriots’ record going into Week 15 is 10-3.
- In the number four spot is the New Orleans Saints. Coach Sean Payton has coached 13 years for the Saints and he’s a 1x champion.
Thanks to their quarterback, Drew Brees, the Saints’ chance of winning the Super Bowl is +1000 with an identical season record going into Week 15 as the Patriots. The Saints will be in the Wild Card Game, but they can still win the Super Bowl.
- For number three, we have the Green Bay Packers. Coach Matt LeFleur is in his 1st year coaching the Packers and he’s a 0x champion, however with a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers, the Packers’ chance of winning the Super Bowl is +2000!
The Packers record going into Week 15 is 10-3, the same as the Patriots and Saints.
- Getting close to our top spot, but not quite there is the San Francisco 49ers. Kyle Shanahan, the coach for the 49ers, has coached 3 years with this team.
He is a 0x champion. The quarterback is Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers’ chance of winning the Super Bowl is +4000.
Their record going into Week 15 is 11-2, a step up from all the teams mentioned before them..
- Our top contender for the Super Bowl title is the Baltimore Ravens, with coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh has coached 12 years and he’s a 2x champion.
The quarterback is Lamar Jackson. The Ravens’ chance to win the Super Bowl is +4000.
The Ravens record going into Week 15 is 11-2 and although their stats are identical to the 49ers, Harbaugh’s 2x championship record edges the Ravens into number one.
The Wild Card
With every great game there’s a wild card team, or in this case, a list of them. Keep your eye on the Pittsburg Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings.
Don’t count these teams out of the Playoff Picture just yet, because they can still win the Super Bowl!
“I’m super excited that the Buffalo Bills are in the Wild Card game,” said Michelle Swind, a fourth grade teacher at Ozona Elementary School and a graduate of the University of Buffalo. “Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!”
