The five seniors this season were Chole Lelliott, Vanessa Sefriou, Maria Miller, Brooke Snoll and Kirsten Taylor.
In this game Saint Leo was simply outshot; Tampa had 15 shots on net while the Lions only had five. Junior Julia Ortiz had a big night despite the three goals given up. She had seven big saves bringing her season total to 58. The final score was Tampa-3 Saint Leo-0.
Tampa offensive player Emily Cady scored all three goals to give her a hat trick in the game. This year’s leader in goals scored was by promising freshman Carolina Solis-Deleon with five. Solis-Deleon also led the team in points for the season with 10. Ortiz had a good year in goal allowing less than two goals a game. Saint Leo will end the season with a below par record as they try to regroup and come back next season stronger.
