Lions’ Cross Country Finish Strong in 2010 SSC Championships

Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams closed out their seasons November 6, 2010 at the Sunshine State Conference Championships at Wickham Parkin Melbourne, Fl. Both teams finished better than in 2009. The women’s team finished fourth out of six teams while the men’s team finished fifth out of six teams.

Springsteen brings Darkness to the 21st century

In 1978, Bruce Springsteen released his much anticipated follow-up to Born to Run. After three years of lawsuits and problems with the record company, Darkness on the Edge of Town, reached fifth on the U.S. Billboard, exciting fans all over the world. On November 16, the 25 anniversary of that release, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will release The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story.

It is almost impossible to convey the strong sense of absurdity that runs throughout Eugene Ionesco’s play Rhinoceros. The central conceit of the piece revolves around the transformation of the citizens of a town in France to rhinoceroses as soon as they accept the presence of the beasts.
