Saint Leo University will commemorate Veterans Day, Nov. 11 with an observance to be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Student Community Center according to the University Communications.
Dr. Arthur F. Kirk, Jr. will begin the ceremony with a welcoming address followed by this year’s speaker, U.S. Army Brigadier General Robert P. Ashley, Jr., who is Director of intelligence at U.S. central command at MacDill Air Force Base.

The ceremony will continue with veteran faculty, staff, and students carrying their service flag and being recognized. A wreath presentation and vocal music by student group will also be part of the ceremony.
The service will end with a traditional dove release which will be held outdoors.
University class times this day will be altered to a fifty minute time slot for those who wish to participate in the ceremony.
