What are podcasts? Podcasts allow many people with different interests to listen to what they love. More particularly, these can be geared towards your interests, such as staying up to date with sports, pop culture, television, education, and anything that’s your passion. The more we develop our skills; we need to take into consideration other ways that we can listen and learn more from than going to class. We are juggling what happens in our daily lives, and we don’t usually have extra time to waste. Based on priority, podcasts are worth to check out, so you can bolster your knowledge in your area of study. It also allows yourself to take a break and learn something new.

When surfing the web, various educational podcasts are available and are worth checking out. Tossing in your earbuds and taking a moment to listen to these podcasts will help immerse you into these new realms outside the classroom. If you are interested in Pop-Culture, for example, college students commonly listen to “The Read.” “The Read” is hosted by both John Kid Fury and Chissle who talk about the current pop culture and gossip that is happening in Hollywood. If you enjoy getting insider information about football games “Chris Simms Unbuttoned” is a popular podcast students should check out. If you are into learning and education, listening to “TED Talk Audio,” “College Info Geek,” and “TWiT (This Week in Tech).” These talks are about the new changes in how you learn, help better grades, and be more attentive in the classroom.

A few other podcasts that students should listen to are “The Commons” and “The Third Chair.” These are college student made podcasts about the lifestyle, arts, cultures, and community of their surrounding region and their colleges. These educational podcasts provide information that you can immerse yourself into. They will help benefit the lives of students on campus as there tend to be conversations instead of stories. People are known to have more of an imaginative kind of mind. To top it off, this will allow us to become a better listener, be better in multi-tasking situations, and learn more about yourself by finding out your other interests.
