Do you believe that visualizing your dreams can help make them come true? On Jan. 27, Residence Life hosted a Vision Board event for 2026 in the lobby of Apartment 5, where students not only had fun but also created a vision board outlining their goals for the year.

Students eagerly attended the event, believing that visualizing their dreams on paper would help them organize their thoughts and successfully achieve their goals.

In addition to creating vision boards, students were treated to free snacks and drinks throughout the event. Chips and a variety of drinks were available, creating a relaxed and comfortableatmosphere. This small touch made the event even more exciting and encouraged students to spend more time thinking and creating their own boards.

“I came to this event to create my own vision board for the coming year and to set my thoughts and desires in motion toward their realization,” said Sezim Sharshenalieva, a sophomore majoring in Marketing.

A vision board is not just a collage. It is a tool that helps students focus on what they really want to achieve in 2026.

Inspired students cut out pictures, drew, and glued the letters together to decorate their boards.

“In my vision board, I decided to pay special attention to health, earnings, and studies. In 2026, I want to focus mainly on these three important things,” said Sharshenalieva.

Creating a vision board helps you structure your thoughts. When goals are visualized, they become more specific and achievable.

In addition, such events motivate students and provide opportunities to exchange ideas, contributing to personal growth and building community. Sometimes discussing your goals with others helps you see new ways to achieve them.

“It seems to me that organizing such events helps students develop themselves and communicate with each other by sharing new ideas and thoughts,” added Sharshenalieva.

Many students also found the event to be a great way to take a break from their busy schedules and reflect on what truly matters to them. Some shared that seeing their peers’ boards inspired them to aim higher and think bigger. By putting their goals on paper, students felt a sense of accountability and motivation, making the start of 2026 feel purposeful and energized.

Sometimes the power of collaborative creativity goes unnoticed and even underestimated.

However, when the inspiration and energy of many people reign in the air, the desire to create something new increases.

Making vision boards is not just about gluing pictures on a board. It is about personal dreams that can be turned into a concrete plan of action.

Each participant left the event with a unique board reflecting their desires and ambitions.Students can hang ready-made visual boards on the walls of their rooms, thereby reminding themselves of their goals and dreams. This will encourage them to work even harder to achieve their 2026 goals.

Events like Vision Boards remind students that self-development can be exciting and creative. All you need is a little time, inspiration, and a willingness to dream.
