As stated by Stephanie Figueroa, freshman marketing major “This is my first semester at Saint Leo University. Some advice that I would give to Freshman is to get involved in clubs. I am a commuter student, so the way that I make friends is by getting involved in school and joining a club.” The club that she joins is the American Marketing Association (AMA). As a Marketing student, this club allows her to gain more useful professional experience and get to know people who have the same major as she. She also recommends getting to know professors and advisors is a proper key. They are there to help newcomers with everything they need. They can also help you connect with potential employers. For example, career services help can help you perfect your resume.
