While studying at Saint Leo University, it is essential to take breaks to stay energized and rejuvenated. You should eat healthy food that gives you the strength to continue putting in the effort on your courses to maintain a productive work environment.

Have you ever heard of the Bloom San Ann Café? It was originally located in San Antonio; many students loved to visit there. But what attracted the students at Saint Leo to this café?

It was a place where students could take a trip off campus, have delicious food, and use it as a study place. Bloom San Ann provided students with a choice of healthy food—various açaí-bowls and smoothies that were all offered on the menu.

It is seen that many young people are drawn to healthier choices, including snacks and drinks. In addition, it was located only five minutes from Saint Leo, making it easily accessible for students who wanted a quick lunch break between classes.

However, if you were a frequent visitor to this place, you may have noticed that it is no longer open. But with months of hard work and prayers, Bloom San Ann has not closed permanently; it has decided to update its concept to something even greater!

On Sept. 30, an updated version of Bloom San Ann Café opened under the name Bloom + Refuel. It should also be noted that the café has changed its location and is now located in Dade City in a fitness center named Spin City. The opening hours have also changed slightly. Now, Bloom + Refuel is open from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon; however, they are closed on Sunday.

The reason the beloved café decided to relocate and change its name is that the owner wanted to shift the target audience from students to people who are active in sports.

“I decided to open my new café closer to the fitness center so that people after exercising could immediately enjoy a healthy smoothie,” said Desiree Ramos O’Connor, owner of Bloom +Refuel.

As for the menu, smoothies are already on sale, but the açaí bowls will appear on the menu a little later on. So, stay on the lookout!

The Bloom + Refuel menu feature vibrant smoothies like Watermelon Bomb, Cherry Lemonade, Pineapple Passion, Pina Colada, and more, which guests can customize with probiotics, protein, or caffeine. They also serve protein coffee in flavors offered in vanilla and hazelnut, making it easy to either grab a treat, an energy boost, or both!

In Dade City, there is a wide variety of entertainment, with favorite stores to explore, and the freshly updated Bloom + Refuel now open for visits.

“I first opened this place six years ago, and a lot has changed in my life since then, so I decided to change my target audience. Also, the traffic in Dade City is much higher,” said O’Connor.

Moving is always a challenge, but it is also an opportunity to explore new possibilities. For Bloom + Refuel, it is a new chance for growth and expansion. So, do not dwell on the old Bloom San Ann; welcome to the new Bloom + Refuel.
