When it comes to TV shows, many fans are eagerly awaiting the final season of Stranger Things. Stranger Things started in 2016 and has created a huge fan base over the last decade.

Many theories are circulating about the final season, one of which suggests a main character may die. Additionally, since season one began with Will Byers, there’s speculation that the show will conclude with him as well. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, we do know that the show will be coming out this year.

Unfortunately, many fan-favorite shows are coming to an end in 2025. For example, The Summer I turned Pretty is about to release its last season of the show. Fans cannot wait to see who Belly, the main character, will choose as her love interest: Conrad or Jeremiah? Be sure to catch it this summer when it drops—you won’t want to miss it!

Junior clinical psychology major, Tamar Olguin Alzate, said, “I’m really excited for My Life with the Walter Boys to come out.” If you enjoyed The Summer I Turned Pretty, you might like My Life with the Walter Boys, it’s similar but with a rural twist.

A fun, lighthearted Disney movie that fans cannot wait for is Zootopia 2. The first Zootopia came out in 2016. The movie made families laugh and took them to the edge of their seats to see if Judy Hopps, a cop bunny, would find the answer to the missing mammal case with her partner, a sly fox, Nick Wilde.

The sequel is finally coming this year, taking place with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on the trail of a new exciting case. Zootopia 2 is being released on Nov. 26, 2025.

On the spookier side, Meghan 2 is releasing this year as well on June 27. This creepy storyline is about an AI lifelike doll, named “Meghan” who turned evil. Be sure to catch the disaster that Meghan will strike with her return to the sequel.

But if you’re a hard-core horror fan, then IT: Welcome to Derry will be haunting your screens in 2025. IT is known to have been around since 1990. The horror series will focus on the creepy clown, Pennywise, and his backstory. The film will explore the events leading up to the previous two movies, delving into how Pennywise has terrorized the town of Derry for decades—if not centuries.

Want a bit more action instead? Get ready for Jurassic World: Rebirth in 2025! The highly anticipated fourth film in the series is about to take the adventure to new, thrilling heights.

The movie will feature a top-secret mission and introduce terrifying new aquatic dinosaurs. The movie is set to be released on July 2, 2025. Grab your popcorn, and don’t miss it!

Fans are also ecstatic for new superhero movies, such as Superman and Captain America: Brave New World. Captain America is dropping on Feb.14, and Superman is releasing July 11 of this year.

On Nov. 21, 2025, Wicked: Part 2 is being released in theaters. Wicked Part one was a huge success, and in 2024, was the 3rd highest-grossing movie. (Photo was taken by Brooke Brinker)
