Season 2, Episode 10: This is the first Christmas episode on “The Office.” The episode has its ups and downs, but it is ranked number one because in this one Jim gives Pam a sentimental teapot in their Secret Santa turned Yankee Swap. Michael almost ruins the moment by contributing an over-the-top iPod that Pam wants in the Yankee Swap. Michael always finds a way to make things interesting. The teapot Pam receives holds such significance throughout the show, making this episode an important one to the plot of future seasons.

Season 6, Episode 13: Pam is pregnant in this episode, which is exciting, but on the other hand, Michael misinforms the office that they are going out of business. For this Christmas, Andy got Erin in the office Secret Santa, and for her gift, he is giving her “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Some of the gifts drive Erin crazy, but the episode ends with the twelve drummers serenading Erin, which is very romantic.

Season 7, Episode 12: There are two Christmas episodes in this season, but this one is more interesting. Holly is in town, but unfortunately for Michael, her boyfriend A.J. joins her at the Christmas party. This is also the episode where Oscar meets the senator whom Angela is dating. After Michael destroys Holly’s doll of Woody from “Toy Story,” which was a gift from A.J., Holly and Michael argue. Pam gives Michael hope for Holly when she tells him about the ultimatum Holly gave A.J., which was that she would break up with him if he did not propose within a year. Over this, Pam and Michael share a sweet moment. Also, Dwight throws snowballs at Jim until he goes crazy and eventually lives in fear of Dwight.

Season 8, Episode 10: Unfortunately, Michael is not in this episode. Andy has taken on the role of office manager as well as the responsibility of granting wishes to everyone in the office. After Dwight and Jim prank each other one too many times, he tells them that he will give whoever does the next prank’s Christmas bonus to the other. Jim and Dwight prank themselves throughout the episode to and from each other, and it is very entertaining. Also, Robert California is in town, and a sweet side of Daryl is unveiled when he brings a date to the party. In the episode, Andy brings his new girlfriend to the party which makes Erin jealous, so she ends up having way too much to drink and telling him off.

Season 9, Episode 9: A lot is going on in this episode. It is the day before Jim leaves for Philadelphia, so Pam wants to make his last Christmas party at the office special by making sure they have the type of party Jim wants: A Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas Party, which is how Dwight and his family always celebrated Christmas in his childhood. Dwight dresses up as Belsnickel, a dirty version of Santa, and gets mad when Jim leaves the party early. Also, Daryl is angry with Jim when he thinks he forgot that he wanted to come with him to Philly.
