Do you like praise and worship? STRINGS & HEART creates Christian music that strives to make a strong impression, accompanied by a heartfelt message and relatable themes.
The Christian band dedicated to worship music featuring three brothers: Angelo, Michael, and Eric Espinosa, formed in 2019, has made many popular Christian songs such as “Evergreen Love,” “Flowers Dressed in Blue,” and “Your Love.”
Their latest single, “Empty Airport” premiered on March 11, 2025, is a new take on a deep message of spiritual roots. The song emphasizes the possibility of being able to find God’s voice in the most unexpected places and is a great worship song for believers because of its setting, theme, and lyrics and how they all tie together, doing a great job of relating to people’s powerful testimonies.

The setting of the song is very consistent with the title of it. The title of the song being “Empty Airport” features the band in (you guessed it) an empty airport.
The music video does an incredible job of switching scenes to make the audience feel as though they are exploring the empty airport along with the band. As for the airport itself, it does give off the abandoned, old, and even decrepit feel.
It truly looks like the band is alone in the airport, but this just reinforces the presented theme of the song. The theme of the song is extremely upbeat and positive, which contrasts with the setting selected in the background.
The setting is a clearly abandoned and repurposed airport that is meant to represent emptiness. But the contrast supports the main message of the song, which is that you can meet and feel God’s presence in all places.
This ties back to the theme of the song and its positive tone. Although the background seems empty and alone, the band rejoices as if the presence of God is there. This is how the background and theme tie together, but the lyrics provide an even deeper meaning to the already presented theme.
A good part of the lyrics is in verse three, where they sing: “Don’t need a burning bush, don’t need a blinding light.”
This verse references the supernatural experiences of the prophets in the Old Testament. God reveals himself to the prophets in grand ways to show himself. But the verse in the song implies that this experience isn’t needed to hear God’s voice. The other lyrics in the song attest to this theory, as they all mention mundane, everyday places where we can hear God’s voice.

Senior communication major, Emma Eaton, says, “The song reminds me of something I’d listen to while studying. Now I’m interested in seeing what other songs STRINGS & HEART has to offer.”
As far as worship songs go, this song is creative in the way it delivers its message from its atmosphere, message, and wording. All the elements of this piece come together to create meaning for its viewers, who embark on a journey together with the band.
