The anticipation is finally over to see the continuation between the love triangle with Jackie Howard, Cole Walter, and Alex Walter. Finally, two years later, the popular Netflix series, “My Life with the Walters Boys” came out with its newest season this past month. This season is full of drama, including Jackie trying to rekindle things with both Walter boys, and fans can’t wait to see how the drama unfolds in this season.
At the end of Season one, after the wedding of the oldest Walter sibling, Will Walter, Jackie Howard and one of her love interests Cole Walters, share a passionate kiss after Jackie realized Cole was the one that fixed her mother’s broken teapot. During this time, Alex Walter confessed to Jackie that he loved her, and Jackie ran away from him because of that.
The main question people are pondering about is whether or not Jackie and Cole will end up becoming a couple in this season?
Karen Sanchez, a freshman majoring in Business Administration stated, “I was angry when Cole and Jackie didn’t end up pursuing a relationship because I am forever team Cole”.
Because Jackie wanted to avoid seeing both Walter brothers, she decides to do an internship in New York in the summer to avoid confrontation. Katherine Walter, mother of the Walter family,goes to visit Jackie in New York and convinces her to come back to Colorado to return to school. However, because of the way she left things of with both Walter boys, she was worried.
Over the first few episodes of this season, Jackie focuses on repairing her relationship with Alex because she feels terrible for breaking his heart. However, because of Alex’s noticeable glow up, his main focuses are bronco riding and trying to move on from Jackie. Nonetheless, their temptation gets the best of them, and they decided to be together, but decided to keep it a secret.
“In the beginning, I was excited for Cole and Jackie, but then, Alex had to come in and ruin everything. Also, when Jackie told Alex that she loved him, you can tell she was hesitant about saying that” stated Sanchez.
Throughout the season, Jackie has this perception where she would be happiest with Alex because he is the more stable option and knows what he wants to do with his life. Although Cole had his moments in the first season, where he would make irresponsible decisions because of the pain he was going through, this season, he is on the path to self-improvement and is putting his feelings aside for Jackie to work on themselves.
Eventually, Cole finds out that Alex and Jackie have secretly been together, and eventually, he can’t hold his emotions and confronts Jackie.
“Poor Cole was suffering the whole two seasons for not knowing her true feelings toward him. However, Jackie admitted her feelings for Cole, and you can tell there is a genuine connection between the two” stated Sanchez.
The last scene ends off in a cliffhanger where Alex hears Jackie’s confession at the same time that their beloved family barn starts to burn down. Will Jackie retreat to New York, or will she settle the situation between the two brothers for the next season?
All of this season, Jackie has pushed down her feelings for Cole in order to rekindle what she had with Alex. However, no matter how much Jackie wants to deny it, she will always have a special connection with Cole.
