0

Park Place Antiques & Gifts is located at 12221 Main Street in San Antonio, on the west side of the city park, next to the post office and around the corner from Pancho’s Restaurant.  The shop offers antique and vintage furniture, pottery, china, glassware, linens, as well as a large array of new and vintage jewelry and purses, greeting cards, books, and a variety of gift items.

The second floor of the shop is home to Grandma’s Attic, featuring the largest assortment of vintage clothes, hats, purses, and accessories in the area.  Visitors are welcome to spend some time looking through and trying on clothes from the early years of the 20th century through the 1980s.  (Cameras are welcome!)  Grandma’s Attic is known in the area for putting on vintage fashion shows for charitable organizations, including one at the University in November 2013, sponsored by the Rotaract Club.

Also housed in Park Place are two hair stylists, Sue Davis and Jane Elizabeth.  Both Sue and Jane Elizabeth operated successful hair salons in Los Angeles before moving to San Antonio.  To schedule an appointment, call Sue at 813-376-6925 or Jane Elizabeth at 352-457-3220.

Park Place is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  However, owners Betty and Winnie Burke are happy to open the shop at other times.  To schedule an appointment, just call 352-588-9827 (leave a message) or 352-346-0349.

Park Place Antiques & Gifts is a great place to go to on a quiet Saturday. It has a variety of different items that appeal and are interesting to every different type of individual. Although we are college students, it is fun for some students to find themselves playing dress up in Grandma’s Attic, Is it awfully funny for the students to see and try on the fashion trends that were once very popular.
