Nowadays restaurants are sprouting up everywhere, and many of them seem to offer the same food selections just in different styles. The food is the first thing that comes to mind when people are trying to figure out where they want to eat. But it’s not just the food that makes a restaurant great; it’s the overall experience, which includes the atmosphere and the customer service. Now if you’re into a little old school vibe, then Kafe Kokopelli is worth a try. The restaurant is located on 37940 Live Oak Ave. in Dade City, Florida and has quite the reputation for good food and a unique style. The restaurant building itself actually used to be a sales and service building and garage for Ford Motor Company where they sold the iconic Model-T. This fact alone makes the restaurant the ideal place for those who love a little history and have a knack for old cars. The whole building was renovated into a restaurant that seats 150 guests and even has banquet rooms for larger parties.
The dim lighting and old wood pieces that make the restaurant provide for a very comfortable and relaxed experience as you wait upon your meal to arrive, which it does in a timely manner. The restaurant is American style, so the menu does consist of traditional American dishes but also some rather unusual recipes as well. For example, there is the “Local Fried Gator,” and the “Roasted Pheasant,” which is another interesting option. There are many other unique dishes available, so if you are in the mood to give your taste buds a whirl you do have options! And to top things off all of the menu items are reasonably priced making Kafe Kokopelli accessible to anyone.
Because of Kafe Kokopelli’s wonderful food, service and atmosphere it has gained the title of “The Taste Of Pasco” for three years in a row which is quite the accomplishment! Overall the style of the restaurant is great, and the food is even better. It makes for a great lunch with the family or a romantic evening with someone special! Kafe Kokopelli definitely earns 5 out of 5 paws according to the Lions’ Pride Paw System and is a local must for anyone looking for a great meal in a very unique spot!
