Every day at Saint Leo University, students can be seen on their way to class with their essentials: their backpacks, phones, and a cup of coffee to start the day off right. At the beginning of October, we celebrated International Coffee Day. Since then, people from all over the world have celebrated by enjoying the popular beverage and sharing it on social media.
At Saint Leo, students can usually be seen inside of our on-campus coffee shop, Benedict’s, grabbing coffee on their way to class or enjoying breakfast while completing an assignment or catching up on their favorite novel.
Overall, coffee plays a significant role in many students’ day-to-day routines, which always consist of a stop at the coffee shop. Benedict’s not only offers coffee, but they also provide a variety of sandwiches and bagels to pair with their drinks, which are great for students taking a break between classes to grab a bite or students on their way to their classes for the day.
Saint Leo also has a large host of commuter students who may often opt in for breakfast off campus. Many students favor well-known coffee shop chains such as Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, but many people don’t know about this local coffee shop located in Zephyrhills.
Hole in One Donuts is a small donut shop located in Zephyrhills that offers customers a wide selection of numerous popular breakfast items as well as delicious doughnuts. Customers have the popular option of a breakfast combo that consists of a medium coffee of your choosing, a breakfast sandwich, and a doughnut for just $6.99 daily.
Another nearby shop worth visiting in the area is Bloom, located in the San Antonio area. The café is locally owned and features a variety of items to choose from, including smoothies, waffles, hot tea, organic juices, protein iced coffee, and açaí bowls. Their Facebook page features an array of photos taken by happy customers, with many students from Saint Leo University! The café has stellar ratings from satisfied customers promising their return for a fix from their new favorite café.

Their staff and customer service are like no other; ensuring every visit is a pleasure no matter where you visit.
